Hertfordshire Two Year Old Free Early Education Scheme

Tring Stepping Stones Pre-School has been accepted onto the Hertfordshire two year old free early education scheme. We are now able to offer free early education to two year olds for up to 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year to eligible families. This is in addition to the 15 hours free early education that we are able to offer all three and four year olds from the term after their third birthday.

Tring Stepping Stones Pre-School has been awarded the Hertfordshire Quality Standards (HQS) Accreditation. The Hertfordshire Quality Standards (HQS) is a county led scheme that ensures childcare providers are constantly improving and developing through a process of self evaluation. The HQS consists of 8 modules:

- Economic Wellbeing
- Staying Safe

- Enjoy and Achieve
- Positive Contribution
- Being Healthy
- SEND

Each module requires staff and parents to reflect on practices at Pre-School. This ensures that the setting meets the HQS criteria and provides a high quality service and environment that exceeds the requirements of the Ofsted standards.
